A cinema subscription pass for just ₹699 has been introduced by multiplex company PVR INOX Ltd in an effort to encourage customers to go to movie theaters.

With the monthly membership package, moviegoers may see up to 10 films each month for just ₹699 starting on October 16.

The promotion is only valid from Monday through Thursday and doesn’t include director’s cut, gold, luxe, or IMAX formats.

‘PVR INOX Passport’ is a movie subscription service that may be purchased online or through the company’s app for a minimum subscription period of three months.

According to a report by PTI, which quoted Gautam Dutta, co-CEO of PVR INOX Ltd., the firm has been interacting with its client base to learn more about their movie-watching preferences.

There is a sentiment among consumers that we enjoy going to the movies and enjoy the theater experience. But we can’t get everything. The PTI report quoted Gautam Dutta as adding, “We keep planning what are the event films and what are the movies that can be consumed on TV, iPad, and mobile.”

“So in their minds, ‘Pathaan’, ‘Jawan’, ‘Salaar’, and ‘Leo’ are some of the major motion pictures. There are also other movies that they really want to see but don’t mind waiting a bit longer for. So when we questioned further and said, “Why can’t you visit a theater every week?” They claimed that it gets pricey,” Dutta told PTI.

“The event movies are becoming bigger and grander. Smaller medium movies are being forced out. Because we have close to 13 to 16 films that are launched every week, Dutta continued, “we truly needed to have a kind of a product that worked with consumer sentiment to get them back into the cinema, a lot more, and which will promote great smaller films.

According to the report, he added that the movie subscription plan is another action that will have a positive impact.
