Karan Johar hosted a special screening for fans on October 15 to honor the silver anniversary of his classic movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji also attended. Salman, who also made a brief cameo appearance in Karan’s debut movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, was brought up during an interview with Pinkvilla. Whether Salman and he are working together on a full-length movie for the first time was another topic that Karan responded.

Karan Johar discusses working with Salman Khan

Karan Johar responded, “The point is that I have to tell you that I have the greatest of respect for Salman and his entire family. Salim saab, the scriptwriter and father of Salman Khan, and my father, Yash Johar, were good friends. And as I previously mentioned, Salman’s decision to accept the role in the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was motivated by his love for my father. And my heart has never forgotten that. All I can say for the time being is that I want to see that relationship on film very soon. I am neither confirming nor denying it. I have a few things I’m superstitious about. When the time is right, I feel like I should say it.

When discussing Salman’s cameo as Aman in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Karan added, “A lot of stars had declined to play the part of Aman. Then, during Chunky Panday’s party, I met to Salman. “Only an absolutely confident person will do this film, and I am that person,” he stated as he approached me. At the conclusion of the first half, he announced, “I am doing the film,” and I went to narrate it. He responded, “I don’t care, I know where it’s going,” when I said, “But you come in the second half.” I truly like your father; I enjoy your enthusiasm and am working on your movie. As I left, I thought, “Salman Khan is in the movie.” Since we already had Shah Rukh, Kajol, and Rani, I informed Adi (Aditya Chopra) that this movie had really grown in popularity.
