The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV starts at €200,634 in Germany. The concept aims to blend Maybach exclusivity with technology, drawing inspiration from the popular EQS SUV under the Mercedes-Benz brand.

The EQE’s 107.8 kWh usable energy content battery is located in the same underbody as the first electric Maybach. For a WLTP range of up to 612 kilometers, that is sufficient. The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV 580 4MATIC can produce up to 400 kW, whereas the Maybach can drive 484 kW. The Mercedes configurator lists the EQS SUV with this drive system for €147,922.95; the model series is available for €110,800.90 with rear-wheel drive (as the EQS SUV 450+).

The customer receives 84 kW more power and more features (including the 22 kW AC charger that is standard in the Maybach but is otherwise optional), more comfort (such as the optional “First-Class Rear” package that offers even more luxury), and more features (such as the ventilation, massage, and heating capabilities of the “Executive” rear seats). All of this for an almost 50,000 euro surcharge.

the manufacturer emphasises the “elegant design, with customary elements such as the Maybach emblem or the Maybach radiator grille,” the “brand-typical two-tone paintwork with its filigree pinstripe,” which is available as an option (and at extra cost), and the interior, which is “designed like an elegant lounge with a holistic comfort experience for all the senses.”

The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV may be customized online just like any other Mercedes model, which makes it one less exclusive feature. It soon becomes evident from there that the 200,634 euros are just the start. In Germany, the special “Night Series” only costs 29,750 euros more and is only offered for 17,017 euros when purchased in conjunction with the previously stated first-class rear. With just two clicks, the price increases to 247,401 euros—before any specific equipment specifics are provided.
