The German luxury automaker Audi has revealed that all of its models will see price increases of up to 2% in India. The price increase will take effect on June 1, 2024, due to increased input and transportation expenses. Depending on the model chosen, the price increase might be anywhere from Rs 90,000 to Rs 4.50 lakh.

In his official statement, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head, Audi India, said, “Rising inputs costs are compelling us to increase prices by up to 2% effective June 01, 2024. The price correction aims to ensure sustainable growth for Audi India and our Dealer partners. As always, it’s our endeavour that the impact of rising costs is as minimal as possible for our customers.”

This is Audi’s second price rise; the first was a 2% increase in all model prices that went into effect on January 1, 2024. The A4, A6, A8 L, Q3, Q3 Sportback, Q5, Q7, Q8, S5 Sportback, RS5 Sportback, RS Q8, Q8 50 e-tron, Q8 55 e-tron, Q8 Sportback 50 e-tron, Q8 Sportback 55 e-tron, e-tron GT, and RS e-tron GT are the models that Audi India offers.

With 7,027 units sold, Audi India reported an overall gain of 33% in FY23–24. The expansion occurred “on the back of a diverse portfolio which continues to witness strong demand” . In addition, the company sold 1,046 units at retail in the first quarter of 2024 (January–March), facing significant sales difficulties in comparison to the same period the previous year, mostly as a result of supply chain interruptions.

Additionally, sales of its Audi Approved: Plus pre-owned automobile segment increased by 25% in Q1 FY2024 (January to March) and by 50% in FY23–24. The only new car unveiled in FY23–24 was the Q8 e-tron, which is available in Sportback coupe and regular SUV configurations. A panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable and ventilated seats with massaging capabilities, and four-zone climate control are among the amenities of the Q8 e-tron.
