All businesses are now concentrating on their foldable options since that nearly all of the greatest Android phones of the year have been released. With each month that goes by, the rivalry in this market grows more intense. And although Samsung may have let you down with the Galaxy Z Fold 5’s lack of innovation, Chinese businesses are pushing the boundaries with their folding phones. One such business is Honor, which in late July in China unveiled the Magic V2, its slimmest and lightest foldable to date. With their IFA 2023 keynote teaser, the firm is now hinting towards the phone’s global release.

The keynote address by Honor at IFA 2023 is slated for September 1 at 10 a.m. CEST in Berlin. The company’s ‘Save the Date’ notice clearly features the letter ‘V,’ indicating that the event will be centered on the V2’s European launch. And that won’t be a terrible thing because the Honor Magic V2’s specifications might make it competitive with other devices on our list of the best foldables.

The Honor Magic V2 is extraordinarily thin and light for a foldable at 9.9mm and 231g thanks to a titanium hinge and unique alloy. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 weighs 253g and is 11.4mm thick, in contrast to the Google Pixel Fold’s 283g weight and 12.1mm waistline.

The Honor Magic V2 employs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU with faster clock speeds, just like the Galaxy Z Fold 5. However, Honor’s foldable is fitted with up to 16GB of RAM and a massive 1TB of storage, in contrast to Samsung’s offering, which has 12GB of RAM. With a 50MP f/1.9 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide sensor, and a 20MP f/2.4 telephoto sensor with OIS, the camera specifications are equally amazing. On both the outside cover display and the inner folding screen, the Magic V2’s 16MP f/2.2 selfie camera is located.

Wi-Fi 6E support, Bluetooth 5.3, DisplayPort support through USB-C, and dual-SIM 5G connectivity are a few more noteworthy specifications. The Magic V2 retails for 8,999 RMB ($1250/EUR1130) in China, but its price in Europe is most likely to be more.
