In certain markets, the Galaxy S24 series is proving to be very popular. It was recently reported that the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra shattered all previous records for pre-booking in India. According to Korean media, pre-orders for the new flagship had hit around 1.2 million in Samsung’s native country in just the first week.

In the first week following the formal launch, Samsung allegedly got 1.09 million pre-orders for the Galaxy S23 series in Korea last year. The Galaxy S24 lineup has since proven to be even more well-liked. By the end of the year, total yearly sales are expected to approach 36 million, making the Galaxy S24 the first flagship to surpass 30 million units since 2019’s Galaxy S10.

The largest South Korean carriers claim that more customers have visited stores to see the Galaxy S24 series in person, probably to witness the AI functions in action. Predictably, the Ultra model is the most popular one; according to a carrier official, over 60% of pre-orders are for the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The Galaxy S24 might outperform its predecessors, but it’s unlikely to match the performance of the Note 10 and Note 10+. In 2019, the Note 10 and Note 10+ set a record for the most pre-ordered Galaxy handset in Korea with around 1.4 million pre-orders.
