Tata Motors has introduced two new top-of-the-line hatchback variations in addition to the sporty Altroz Racer, which is the company’s latest offering of its premium hatchback. The Tata Altroz now comes in two new trim levels: XZ LUX and XZ+S LUX. The top-spec XZ+ OS also gets additional goodies. The Altroz XZ LUX starts at ₹9 lakh, the Altroz XZ+S LUX at ₹9.65 lakh, and the Altroz XZ+ OS at ₹9.99 lakh. Prices listed are for the gasoline manual and are ex-showroom.

Tata Altroz: New Variants

The new Tata Altroz XZ LUX features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the company’s latest OS. All the features of the XZ LUX trim plus four extra airbags are included in the more expensive Altroz XZ+S LUX. Finally, for an additional $34,000 over the XZ+S LUX trim, the Altroz XZ+ OS adds an air purifier and iRA Connected Car technology.

Prices for the turbocharged petrol manual models are now available. According to Tata Motors, the two new, extra models will come with a choice of diesel, CNG, gasoline manual, and gasoline DCA powertrains. Only the petrol engine will be available for the Altroz XZ+ OS.

Tata Altroz: Details about the Engine

On the other hand, the recently released Tata Altroz Racer comes equipped with features like an electric sunroof, leatherette seats, a blacked-out interior with orange accents, a blacked-out roof and bonnet with twin stripes. Three engines are still offered for the Altroz: a 1.5-liter turbodiesel (89 horsepower), a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated gasoline (87 horsepower), and a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline (118 horsepower). The Altroz Racer’s 6-speed manual transmission is an option, as is the 5-speed manual and 7-speed DCT.
