Oppo quietly released the cheap K12x smartphone. In China, the gadget is currently available for pre-order. Sales of the $180 equivalent will begin the next week.

The Oppo K12x has an Oppo Snapdragon 695 CPU and 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM. Feature a flat 6.67-inch Full HD+ OLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz up front.

There is space for a micro SD slot and storage options of 256 GB or 512 GB. Two nano SIM cards, each of which is compatible with 5G networks, can also fit within the card tray.

There is a 50 MP primary camera with an f/1.8 lens on the rear, but no OIS. A 2 MP f/2.4 camera is used as the secondary shooter for portrait photos. There is a single 16 MP front-facing camera for taking selfies. At least there is EIS, however video recording caps at 1080p at 30 frames per second.

The Oppo K12x has an above-average 5,500 mAh battery that can be charged with 80W SuperVOOC and PD 3.0. It may go from 0% to 100% in 50 minutes, according to Oppo.

Based on Android 14, ColorOS 14 launches on the phone straight out of the box. At 191 grams, the K12x is a reasonably light handset. It is available in Titanium Gray and Glow Green.

Now, you can place a preorder. The 8/256 GB model costs CNY 1,299 ($180/€165), the 12/256 GB model costs CNY 1,499 ($210/€190), and the top 12/512 GB tier costs CNY 1,799 ($250/€230). On Monday, May 20, shipping and formal sales will start.
