On September 15, Disney+ Hotstar will host the Kaala web original premiere by the music company T-Series. Bejoy Nambiar is the director of the action thriller, which also features Avinash Tiwary, Rohan Vinod Mehra, Jitin Gulati, and Nivetha Pethuraj.

“From music to movies, T-Series has expertly tied several types of entertainment threads. Our objective is to capture and build strong connections with consumers across the wide and constantly changing entertainment landscape as we embark on a new journey into the world of OTT content. We are excited to share our love of entertainment with our audience throughout the world, according to T-Series Chairman and Managing Director Bhushan Kumar.

T-Series, which is planning to enter the over-the-top (OTT) entertainment market this year, wants to create 3–4 long-format web originals per year.

A biography about choreographer Saroj Khan is in the works, and the company, which only recently began making movies, has also bought the rights to a book about the life of VG Siddhartha, the man behind Café Coffee Day. With director Hansal Mehta, it has also begun developing a show.

The company is working on series that have been commissioned by platforms as well as presenting concepts to OTT providers for content. It currently has shows in various phases of development. The spending on the content might range from 20 crore to 100 crore. While experimenting with different genres including comedy, thriller, and biopics, the company is also leveraging its core competencies to create a full-fledged musical for Amazon Prime Video.

According to the tactics of OTT companies, these episodes would be primarily shot in Hindi and then dub in various languages. The firm is aiming for four originals every year, while it has suggested that it may eventually aim for higher volumes. It takes at least one and a half to two years to conceive, shoot, and put together a show.
