Google has declared that beginning on March 27, Circle to Search will be available on its older and mid-range Pixel handsets. The AI capability will be available on “more Pixel and Samsung phones, foldables, and tablets,” according to Google CEO Sundar Pichai.

In the March Pixel Feature Drop, Circle to Search made its way from the Google Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, to the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

Along with earlier models like the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and the less expensive Pixel 6a, Google will soon start introducing Circle to Search to the entry-level Google Pixel 7a, which is anticipated to be superseded by the Google Pixel 8a. Circle to Search will also be available on the Google Pixel Fold and Google Pixel Tablet “in the coming weeks.”

This week, an upgrade to One UI 6.1 should bring Circle to Search to a number of older Samsung smartphones as well. Android Central has revealed that the Galaxy S23 series from last year will be included in this. Circle to Search will also be available for Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 range of tablets, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Flip 5.

Since OS support for these models has stopped, it is doubtful that previous phones from the Pixel 5 series or any other further back will obtain the capability.

All you have to do to utilize Circle to Search is press and hold the home button to bring up an overlay that allows you to circle the item you wish to search for with your finger. After that, the AI-powered search ought to recognize the items that have been circled and offer pertinent search results for that topic.

It’s great to see Google releasing Circle to Search to more Pixel users without requiring them to upgrade, and not reserving its cutting-edge AI features for older and less expensive smartphones.
