According to Bloomberg reports, the Nintendo Switch’s upcoming model may be introduced later this year and have an 8-inch LCD display.

First off, the original Switch was released six years ago. Given how antiquated its hardware is today, it’s likely that the Switch 2 will be released this year. According to the reports, it might be launched over the holidays this year.

According to Bloomberg, Omdia analyst Hiroshi Hayase predicts that the new console would ship with an 8-inch LCD screen. The Switch OLED, which debuted in 2021 and had a 7-inch OLED display, was the most recent iteration of the Nintendo system.

According to some sources, it might be shown in March and go for pre-order in late August or early September. If the latter is accurate, the expected release date of the PS5 Pro will probably fall around it.

Second, Sharp Corp., the business that assembled the Switch for Nintendo, announced that it is developing a new console and providing LCD screens. According to their comment from the previous year, the product was still in the research and development phase. This raises several points. The most obvious is that a Switch 2 is probably on the horizon, and given that it was in research and development last year, it may also be released in 2024. Lastly, it may include an LCD panel.
