Nearly 200,000 Tesla cars are being recalled in the United States due to a potential malfunction with the backup camera when the vehicle is in reverse.

A few Models Y, S, and X from the 2023 model year are included in the recall. Each has a “Full Self-Driving” computer 4.0 and is programmed with either 2023.44.30, 2023.44.100, or 2023.44.30.6 software.

In documents made public by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the business states that software glitches could make it impossible for the camera to capture photographs when the Tesla is in reverse. That may raise the chance of a collision, according to the safety department.
According to records, Tesla claims not to be aware of any collisions or injuries. According to the documents, an online software update has resolved the issue.

Letters to owners will begin to arrive on March 22.

According to records, Tesla stated that it is not aware of any incidents involving collisions, injuries, or fatalities.

Tesla decided to conduct a recall on January 12 after receiving concerns about the issue in late December, according to records. The company has 81 warranty claims that might have been connected to the issue as of January 22.
