The fourth generation Swift hatchback from Maruti Suzuki is about to be released in India. The price of the next Swift will be revealed by the automaker tomorrow, May 9, at a ceremony in Delhi. A few months after its premiere in Suzuki’s home country of Japan last year, the new Swift makes its way to India. The most recent iteration of the hatchback has a revised engine, feature list, and design. For 11,000, reservations are already available, and deliveries are scheduled to begin this month.

Maruti Suzuki Swift Variants for 2024

The new Swift will be available from Maruti Suzuki in three main variations. The LXi, VXi, and ZXi are some of these. Leaked documents indicate that Maruti Suzuki would sell a new model of the Swift named VXI(O). The most feature-rich hatchback type, the top-of-the-line ZXi, will also get a ZXi+ variation.

Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024: Design

There will be multiple design modifications made to the new Swift in comparison to the current model. Most of the components from the Swift that was introduced in Japan will still be present. The grill has been completely redesigned in black. Additionally, adjustments have been made to the LED headlamp and DRL designs. Even though the hatchback’s profile stays the same, changes are made to the taillight at the back. The new generation of Swift will feature redesigned alloy wheel designs.

Features of the Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024

A slew of new features will be standard on the 2024 Swift, such as an updated digital instrument cluster, a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The infotainment system on the top-tier models will have a larger 9-inch touchscreen. In addition, it might have a head-up display, wireless charging, AC vents for the backseat passengers, and a 360-degree camera.

Engine of the Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024

The primary modification to the new Swift is the 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine installed under the hood by Maruti, which replaces the previous model. It is probable that the mild hybrid vehicle will be available with a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. The engine’s maximum power output of 80 bhp and peak torque of 112 Nm is little less than that of the current Swift. On the other hand, the new engine claims to deliver 25.72 km/l of mileage.

Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024: Estimated Price

The new Swift will rekindle competition with vehicles like the Tata Tiago and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, among others. The outgoing Swift is more costly than its competitors, with prices starting at 7.16 lakh and reaching up to 10.55 lakh (ex-showroom). It is probable that Maruti Suzuki will introduce the new Swift with a starting price that is less than 7 lakh, and that the top-end variants will cost slightly less than 10 lakh.
