Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is continuing its downward trajectory after a whole month of complete dominance as the box office gets ready for yet another Akshay Kumar-starrer. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, on its 29th day of release, the action drama generated Rs 1.85 crore in India across all languages.

This is the lowest single-day revenue the movie has ever seen. However, the total revenue for the movie in India as of this writing is Rs 617 crore. Jawan broke the records for the highest opening and biggest single-day haul for a Bollywood film when it made Rs 80 crore on its first Sunday after its release, which occurred in September. Jawan became the first Bollywood film to surpass the Rs 600 crore mark domestically and the fastest Hindi film to reach key box office milestones.

It surpassed Shah Rukh’s own Pathaan to rank second globally and as India’s top Hindi film ever. With a worldwide total of Rs 1103 crore, Jawan is currently in last place, falling behind KGF: Chapter 2 (Rs 1215 crore), RRR (Rs 1230 crore), Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 1780 crore), and Dangal (Rs 2400 crore).

Jawan, which also features Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi and is directed by Atlee, was created as Shah Rukh’s first pan-Indian movie. Sanjay Dutt makes a brief cameo while Deepika Padukone makes an extended guest appearance. The movie ended with a tease for a sequel, and Atlee has also been making references to one.

Jawan, along with Pathaan and Gadar 2, has been important in the Hindi film industry staging a comeback after two rocky years during when audiences had begun airing their unhappiness with what was being offered to them. The Kerala Story, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Satyaprem Ki Katha, and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar are a few other popular Hindi films from this year.
