A teaser image unveiled this week gives an indication of what’s to come when GMC unveils a redesigned Yukon full-size SUV later this year.

A new headlight design that is both slimmer and taller than the present Yukon’s is easily noticeable. A redesigned grille and fascia have also been verified by GMC. The variant displayed is the off-road capable AT4 grade, which was introduced for the Yukon’s most recent makeover in 2021.

The 2025 model year’s related Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban twins are expected to receive similar modifications, such as an expanded infotainment screen, new electronic driver-assist features like the most recent iteration of General Motors’ Super Cruise automated driving system, and increased horsepower for the 3.0-liter inline-6 turbocharged diesel engine.

The diesel engines in the Chevys now have 305 horsepower instead of 277 horsepower. The 2024 Yukon’s diesel engine is rated for 277 horsepower as well, which means it will probably be matched by the Chevys’ 305 horsepower in the new Yukon. There are presently two more engine options for the Yukon: a 6.2-liter V-8 with 420 horsepower and a 5.3-liter V-8 with 355 horsepower. It is expected that the two gas engines will remain unaltered, replicating the powertrains found in the most recent Chevys.

Arriving for 2025, the new Yukon will follow the introduction of the revamped 2024 Acadia, which will go on sale this spring.

The most recent news is more important than previous ones because GMC has stated that the 2025 Yukon would “spearhead” the company’s entry into international markets, beginning with Australia, China, and New Zealand. At the moment, West Asia is the only continent in which GMC conducts business outside of North America.
