In India, Lexus has started to distribute the fifth-generation RX 500h F Sport Performance. The Lexus RX 500h made its debut in India at the 2023 Auto Expo in January of last year, coincident with the opening of order books for the high-end hybrid SUV. According to the corporation, there has been a lot of interest in the model since it was introduced in the nation. The ex-showroom pricing of the new Lexus RX 500h F Sport Performance variant is ₹1.18 crore.

The performance and design of the new Lexus RX 500h have been completely redesigned from the previous model. The model comes equipped with an electronically controlled variable transmission and a tried-and-true 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine with a Direct4 hybrid electric system set to produce 247 horsepower. The SUV has a 0-100 kmph acceleration time of 7.9 seconds and a hybrid powertrain that guarantees better fuel economy than equivalent petrol-powered SUVs.

Dynamic Rear Steering, a feature of the Lexus RX500h F Sport Performance, allows the back wheels to be matched with the front wheels by up to four degrees. Additionally, the model has an eAxle to improve motor economy and Active Sound Control to amplify the sound of the exhaust.

Above the RX 350h, which is now available for purchase in the whole country, sits the new Lexus RX 500h F Sport Performance. Four driving modes are available for the model: Normal, Eco, Sport, and Custom. An electronically controlled brake system is also included (ECB). 21-inch aluminum alloy wheels support the SUV.

The RX 500h’s interior features an elegant leather-upholstered cabin thanks to the Tazuma cockpit. In addition, the SUV has a panoramic sunroof and a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment display with connected car technology through the Lexus India app. Radar cruise control, lane tracing assistance, lane departure assistance, pre-collision system vehicle identification, seven airbags, and other safety features are included. Lexus is providing an 8-year warranty for the RX 500h’s hybrid battery.
