This Instagram feature will be useful because it will make stories cleaner and less cluttered for followers to watch because numerous individuals can be mentioned in a single mention.

Instagram Group Mention: According to reports, the Meta-owned company is developing a new group mention feature that would let users tag several people in a story with a single mention. This feature will supposedly be available in the near future.

Instagram’s CEO, Adam Mosseri, just unveiled a new feature that is currently under testing in a broadcast update on his channel. “Once you make a group mention, anyone in the group can use it again to tag everyone in any future stories automatically. So you can more quickly include everyone if you’re on a summer trip with pals without having to tag each person separately, he explained.

This function will be useful since it will make stories clearer and less cluttered when numerous persons are mentioned in one post, which will improve the viewing experience for followers.

For Samsung Galaxy Z Fold devices, Meta is also releasing an upgraded Instagram app that was created specifically for folding screens. The strange aspect ratio and layout issues that existed in prior versions are fixed in this release. The navigation choices, including home, search, new post, Reels, Profile, likes, and messages, are located on the left side of the new user interface.

The latest update’s emphasis on content optimization for larger screens is its key feature. Reels now display properly without any dark bars, and using the app and browsing through Stories and photos is much smoother.

The company had rolled out a feature last week that better shields users from unauthorized DM requests. Two new limitations will apply to users who want to send DM requests to users who don’t follow them as a result of this feature.

First, instead of sending unending DM requests to those who don’t follow them, users will only be able to send them one message. Second, since direct message invitations are now just text-based, users can only send images, movies, or audio messages to those who don’t follow them once they accept the invitation to chat.
