The new CLE 53 4Matic+ Cabriolet has been introduced by Mercedes-AMG, the performance division of Mercedes-Benz. After the SL Roadster, this is the Mercedes-AMG lineup’s second open-top performance model. The well-known 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder, turbocharged engine and 48-volt starter-generator are found under the hood of the 2025 Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Cabriolet. With the help of an electric auxiliary compressor and an exhaust turbocharger, this mild hybrid powertrain configuration produces 443bhp and 560Nm of torque. For a brief period of time, the torque may be temporarily increased to 600Nm by activating the ‘overboost’ function. By providing an extra 23 horsepower and 205 Nm of torque, the 48V integrated starter-generator increases efficiency.

Through the completely variable 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system and the AMG SpeedShift TCT 9G transmission, the CLE 53 Cabriolet distributes power to all four wheels. The active rear-axle steering, high-performance brakes with red brake callipers, adaptive AMG Ride Control suspension, and AMG modes (Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+) are further technical features.

The Race Start feature, which is an optional addition to the AMG Dynamic Plus package, cuts the estimated time Mercedes-Benz estimates for the 0-100 km/h sprint to 4.2 seconds. The maximum speed is electrically regulated to 250 km/h, with an additional 270 km/h option.

2025 Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Coupe: Architecture

The front (55mm+) and rear (78mm+) tracks of the AMG-spec CLE are wider than those of the Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet. The distinctive AMG radiator grille, slim LED headlamps, wider wheel arches, sharper bumpers, quad round tailpipes, and two-part LED taillights joined by a dark red stripe are among the styling upgrades over the regular model. The fabric acoustic soft top is electrically driven, much like the conventional type. The soft top, which comes in black, red, or grey, can open and close at a speed of up to 60 km/h in just 20 seconds.

19-inch wheels are standard on the new AMG car, but 20-inch wheels are an optional extra. Speaking of optional features, the Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Cabriolet has aerodynamic flics, a glossy black diffuser between the tailpipes, sharper highlights, and a spoiler lip. Additionally, purchasers will have more customization options to select from.

Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Cabriolet 2025: Specifications

A user-friendly 11.9-inch central display in portrait format and a 12.3-inch digital instrument display are featured inside the AMG-spec CLE 53 Cabriolet. Mercedes-Benz claims that the latter may be electrically adjusted from 15 to 40 degrees to reduce glare that can be annoying when the soft top is down. In addition, the car has sports seats covered in AMG-exclusive Nappa leather, 64-color dynamic ambient lighting, an Aircap electric wind deflector system, and an Airscarf headroom heating system.
