CAIRO: The MisrSat 2 satellite successfully launched from China, according to the Egyptian Space Agency.

In light of the strategic alliance between the governments of Egypt and China as well as the productive and positive collaboration between the two friendly countries, the agency stated that this launch was taking place.

Chinese scientists and an Egyptian engineering team worked together to develop and build the satellite.

The Satellite Assembly, Integration, and Testing Center of the EGSA is where it was assembled and tested.

The site was created as part of the two nations’ strategic relationship, making it the biggest of its sort in Africa and the Middle East.

By applying space technology to improve important areas like agriculture, the search for mineral resources, the location of surface water sources, and the analysis of the effects of climate change on the environment, the satellite contributes to Egypt’s sustainable development goals.

By offering training programs targeted at qualifying specialized professionals on the African continent and the Middle East, as well as by providing spatial data, the agency claimed that the effort supported Egypt’s economy and enhanced the nation’s pioneering role.

It further stated that the MisrSat 2 launch represented a significant achievement in Egyptian-Chinese collaboration, particularly in the area of space technology.
