Based on the Maruti Fronx, Toyota India has launched the Urban Cruiser Taisor crossover in the nation.

The starting price (ex-showroom) is Rs 7.73 lakh, while the maximum price is Rs 13.03 lakh. In India, it is the sixth product to come from the joint venture between Toyota and Suzuki. Orders can be placed at this time, with delivery beginning in May 2024.

With revised front and rear profiles, the Taisor maintains the Fronx’s proportions and overall design. According to Carwale, notable design changes include a redesigned alloy wheel, revamped LED DRLs, adjusted bumpers, and a changed front grille.

The interior of the cabin has new seat coverings and a modern theme. The crossover is jam-packed with goodies, including a huge infotainment screen with wireless smartphone connectivity, a head-up display, steering-mounted controls, automated climate control, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and ambient lighting.

The Maruti Fronx’s engine options are still available for the Taisor. It has a 1.2-liter NA gasoline engine that generates 88 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque, as well as a 1.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 99 horsepower and 148 Nm of torque. The 1.2-liter engine has two different transmission options: a five-speed manual and a five-speed automatic manual transmission (AMT). The six-speed manual and six-speed automatic torque converter are available for the turbocharged petrol engine. Some versions also come with the option of a CNG kit fitted by the company.
