The changes Samsung made to the Galaxy S24 Ultra this year may make Nelson’s durability test even more crucial. It is composed, in part, of titanium. Nelson discovered that the OnePlus Open’s design didn’t really use a lot of titanium alloy, so it is something to keep an eye on. However, it turned out not to be the case after closer examination with Nelson’s tiny camera. Nelson believes that rather than harming the glass, the substance from his pick rubbed off on it.

Accordingly, the Moh Scale of Hardness places the Galaxy S24 Ultra at level seven, meaning that deeper grooves will become visible at level eight. For comparison, Nelson’s test indicates that a lot of smartphones, even those with Gorilla Glass, scratch at level six.
