Later this year, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 are anticipated to launch, followed by the less expensive Galaxy Z Fold FE. According to a tipster, the company’s follow-up to the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is probably going to come with the same chipset that powers the recently released Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ smartphones in international markets. As of right now, the company’s most reasonably priced Galaxy Z series foldable phone comes in the form of a clamshell.

On X (formerly Twitter), tipster Revegnus (@Tech_Reve) stated that Samsung might include an Exynos 2400 CPU in the Galaxy Z Flip 6. With the exception of China and North America, the company released the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ with the same chip earlier this year, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra debuted in all regions with Qualcomm’s top Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU.

The rumored Exynos chipset in the Galaxy Z Flip 6 does not seem all that unreal, considering Samsung’s decision to include it in the less cost Galaxy S24 series handsets. It’s important to remember that, in contrast to the company’s earlier processors, the Exynos 2400 succeeded in providing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with significant competition earlier this year.

The Exynos 2400 is equipped with four Cortex-A720 cores (two cores at 2.9GHz and two at 2.6GHz), four Cortex-A520 efficiency cores clocked at 1.92GHz, and a high-performance Arm Cortex-X4 core with a max clock speed of 3.2GHz. The Fan-out Wafer Level Package (FOWLP), which is intended to enhance thermal management for extended performance, is being used for the first time in this company’s processor.

Recent rumors about the purported Galaxy Z Flip 6 indicate that it will have a bigger cover display than the Galaxy Z Flip 5, which was released earlier this year. The latter debuted with a 3.4-inch cover screen in the second half of 2023. It is also expected that Samsung’s clamshell-style foldable smartphone of this year will come with a bigger battery and up to 12GB of RAM. Before the phone’s planned debut in July, further information about it is predicted to become public.
