We revealed to you a few weeks ago that the XUV 300 facelift may also be known as the XUV 3XO. Mahindra has now officially revealed the name of the XUV 3XO and released the first teaser video. Although the XUV 300 has been on the market for more than five years, the XUV 3XO is the model’s first significant update.

On April 29, 2024, it will be on sale with a completely updated exterior and interior. Except for the adoption of a new automatic transmission, no powertrain modifications are planned. The latest line of Mahindra SUVs and the BE series are two major sources of design influence for the XUV 3XO (pronounced XUV-three-ex-oh), as the teaser makes clear.

The sportier front fascia features a newly designed LED projector headlight cluster, divided air intakes on the new bumper, a revamped grille portion with triangular overlays, and redesigned drop-down LED daytime running lights. The redesigned rear sports a modified tailgate in addition to prominent C-shaped LED tail lamps linked by a light bar.

The angular rear windshield, black finished pillars and roofline, integrated spoiler, bold XUV 3XO writing on the tailgate, revised side body panels and cladding, redesigned alloy wheels, integrated spoiler, and high-mounted stop lamp are some more visual elements. On the teaser, there was also a metallic yellow hue visible.

The XUV300’s interior will receive a major makeover that will address the current outdated cabin design. It will have a new pattern, upscale center console and dashboard trimmings, and premium surface materials. The equipment list will be similar to the most recent XUV400, but new HVAC vents will improve the cabin’s appearance.

A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a new audio system, a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and a first-in-class panoramic sunroof are among the noteworthy upgrades. The XUV300 will continue to be powered by the same 1.5L diesel, 1.2L DI turbo petrol, and 1.2L turbo petrol engines.

In the DI gasoline mill, a brand-new six-speed torque converter automatic transmission will also be installed. It comes from Aisin. Based on the same X100 platform as the SsangYong Tivoli, the XUV 300 is expected to receive major changes in the near future, including an increase in boot volume to improve its usefulness.
